Editor’s Note: our Power Rankings tend to drop on Wednesday evening. This week, we have Wednesday Night Rugby. These rankings were made prior to the game and will not factor in that result.
1. Los Angeles Giltinis (LW: 2)
SoFi Stadium looked good, but LA looks like real money. (I’m told money is cool slang.)
2. Austin Gilgronis (LW: 3)
RUNY beat LA. Austin beat RUNY. They’ll get a chance to break the cycle Wednesday.
3. Rugby United New York (LW: 1)
Is this team truly elite?
4. Rugby ATL (LW: 7)
Is this team quietly elite?
5. Utah Warriors (LW: 5)
This team is just not elite.
6. Toronto Arrows (LW: 8)
Will this team remember its elite going forward?
7. New England Free Jacks (LW: 6)
This team will look far more elite at the end of the season that it did at the beginning.
8. NOLA Gold (LW: 4)
After their performance at Chula Vista, the elite jokes naturally stop here.
9. Houston SaberCats (LW: 9)
This really is the best bad team in the MLR.
10. Old Glory DC (LW: 10)
Worst in the East, but potentially middle of the table if they followed the Oregon Trail and joined the West. Assuming they don’t die of scurvy.
11. San Diego Legion (LW: 12)
Cool. No do it again.
12. Seattle Seawolves (LW: 11)
They might end up looking really good before ultimately being eliminated in early June.
