What Americas Teams have to Play for on the Final Day of RWC7s 2022

After two days in South Africa, Rugby World Cup 7s 2022 heads into its final day. Below, we break down what each side from the Americas has to play for in the tournament’s epic conclusion.

Argentina

Men: After falling to New Zealand in the cup quarterfinal, they’ll face South Africa first. The winner of that match will face the winner of France/Samoa for a spot in the 5th Place Final, while the losers of both matches will meet in the 7th Place Final.

Brazil

Women: Will face Spain in the 11th Place Final.

Canada

Men: Will face Chile in the 13th Place Final.

Women: After falling to the USA in the cup quarterfinal, they’ll face England first. The winner of that match will face the winner of Ireland/Fiji for a spot in the 5th Place Final, while the losers of both matches will meet in the 7th Place Final.

Chile

Men: Will face Canada in the 13th Place Final.

Columbia

Women: Will face Madagascar in the 15th Place Final.

Jamaica

Men: Will face Zimbabwe in the 23rd/24th Final.

United States of America

Men: Will face Kenya in the 11th Place Final.

Women: After knocking out Canada, the USA remains in the chase for the Melrose Cup. They’ll take on top seeded Australia for a spot in the final against the winner of New Zealand/France. The losers of both matches will meet for the bronze.

Uruguay

Men: Will face England in the Challenge Cup (9th Place) Final.
