Power Rankings: MLR Round 8

The big winners are up. The big losers are down. The big rivalry is still at the bottom.

1. Rugby United New York (LW: 3)

Dan Hollinshead has officially entered the MVP race.

2. Los Angeles Giltinis (LW: 1)

The best team in the league went to the worst field in the league and picked up their first loss. It’ll be interesting to see how they rebound this weekend with a midweek fixture just a few days later.

3. Austin Gilgronis (LW: 2)

Austin is a much less noisy contender than the squad in LA. They tripped up against the league’s silent contender.

4. NOLA Gold (LW: 4)

They don’t have RUNY’s upside, but they’re far more consistent.

5. Utah Warriors (LW: 7)

They’re second in the West, and I still can’t take them seriously.

6. New England Free Jacks (LW: 9)

Are the Free Jacks actually stepping into contention? Coach Martin has this team on track to make a playoff push.

7. Rugby ATL (LW: 6)

They beat their roommate, and they still go down. That’s a reflection of the improvement above them.

8. Toronto Arrows (LW: 5)

They desperately need a break.

9. Houston SaberCats (LW: 8)

This team is far too good to be stuck in the cellar.

10. Old Glory DC (LW: 10)

This team is far too good to be stuck in the cellar.

11. Seattle Seawolves (LW: 11)

This team is playing tough enough that they might start to push out of the cellar.

12. San Diego Legion (LW: 12)

Get used to the cobwebs, Legion fans. The cellar gets kinda gross.
