The league has announced that Giltinis head coach Stephen Hoiles is suspended for their Round 16 match against the Jackals in Dallas. Announced via the league’s disciplinary wire, the infraction was listed as a ‘Team Disciplinary Report,’ indicating that the suspension originates from the team instead of the league. Additionally, ‘Disciplinary Record’ was listed as an aggravating factor, which indicates that their have been previous issues between Hoiles and the franchise that remained out of the public eye.
Hoiles succeeded Darren Coleman. The later took the top role with the Waratahs in Super Rugby after LA claimed the Championship shield in their inaugural campaign. Hoiles will be eligible to return for LA’s Round 17 match against Utah.
